Le'Veon Bell back in Pittsburgh but no word on meeting team

Source ‘New’ info has Le’Veon Bell now contemplating whether he will sign tag

According to the manager of a local L.A. Fitness, the Steelers running back was spotted working out at the gym Wednesday.

Le'Veon Bell is in Pittsburgh, but that doesn't mean he will be reporting for work anytime soon, or anytime at all.

Pictures and videos circulated online late Tuesday of Bell in the club.

But despite Bell's tweet, the Steelers still haven't heard from him and their focus remains the same with the players and coaches in the building as they prepare for Thursday's game vs. Carolina, a source told ESPN. Bell has failed to sign his $14.5 million franchise tender while preserving his long-term health for a future lucrative contract. If Bell misses the Steelers game on Thursday, which is nearly certain, he'll have lost out on $8.55 million in salary for the 2018 season. Teams can use the franchise tag on players up to three times, and it has been widely reported that this year will only count as one of those three if Bell reports and signs the tender.

Reports from earlier in the season suggested Bell needed to sign with the team by November 13 if he wanted to retain his free agent eligibility following the season. He can become a free agent in 2019 if the Steelers do not place a third tag on him.

That will definitely make Steelers fans feel for their star running back who hasn't played a game this year.

On Wednesday night, Bell posted two messages on his Twitter account in upside-down text, saying in part that he's "not apologizing" for his holdout.
