An embarrassed PTV later tweeted, "Today, during a live address of the Prime Minister during his ongoing visit to China, a typographical error took place, which remained on screen for 20 seconds and later removed". So the immediate balance of payments crisis of Pakistan has ended.

"Qureshi said the two sides also discussed to initiate the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC)".

The delegation includes secretaries of finance, trade and planning, as well as the governor of the State Bank of Pakistan.

Speaking during a press conference on Tuesday, Finance Minister Asad Umar said that Pakistan had secured "commitment at the highest level" from the Chinese leadership "to increase our exports, and to do (the things) we should (to) have enough income so that we do not need to borrow", according to domestic media reports.

CPEC, a $64 billion megaproject signed in 2014, aims to connect China's strategically important northwestern Xinjiang province to Pakistan's Gwadar Port through a network of roads, railways and pipelines to transport cargo, oil and gas.

The prime minister briefed the cabinet members about his visit to China and the agreements and memorandum of understandings signed between the two countries. He had also said that no other country had tackled poverty and corruption the way China did. This being his first trip after he took over as Prime Minister, his talks with President Xi and Premier Li helped to establish good working relationship, she said.

"We can learn a lot of China in this regard and through modern technology, we can increase our productivity and out per-acre yield", he said.

Before his visit to China, Umar had said that at present Pakistan faced a total of $27 billion deficit which included $9 billion debt repayment this year. "This tour helped in moving the strategic relationship to an economic partnership", he said.

He said the government is committed to improve rural economy by properly focusing on the agriculture sector while Pakistan will also accelerate its industrial cooperation with China. "We will continue to offer assistance and support within our capacity to Pakistan for its economic and social development in light of its needs and upon agreement by both sides", the spokesperson said.

Information Minister said headlines by a section of media about so-called departure of Aasia Bibi to a foreign country was worst example of irresponsible journalism.
