On Friday, November 2, Starbucks will unveil the 2018 holiday cups!

"We listened to our customers", said Roz Brewer, Starbucks' chief operating officer.

"We started this season by looking to the past", Kristy Cameron from the Starbucks Creative Studio said in a press release. The coffee chain's rolling out its annual holiday cups. Upon introducing the minimalist cup, Starbucks Vice President Jeffrey Fields said it was a way to "usher in the holidays with a purity of design that welcomes all of our stories".

The 2018 holiday cups come in four designs: Stripes (a jazzed up version of the classic red cup), Flora (a pattern of mint-green leaves and bright red berries), Espresso Houndstooth (a red and white houndstooth pattern), and Stargyle (a green cup with a interlinking diamond pattern).

Starbucks is getting into full festive mode with the return of their holiday drink lineup.

For those of us who don't think Christmas cups should be unveiled until after Thanksgiving, keep in mind that a 2017 article, citing "experts", revealed that people who put their Christmas decorations up early are happier than those who wait.

"We learn from everything we do in our stores", she said.

Those first in line on Friday will be gifted free limited-edition reusable red holiday cups in honor of the first day of the season, keeping with the coffee company's goal to be more environmentally friendly.

Treat-wise, Starbucks has launched a pair of new food items in the chocolate swirl brioche and the pistachio honey croissant.

Then, starting Saturday through January 7, customers who bring that cup back to Starbucks for a refill can get 50 cents off a grande holiday beverage.
