In an unusual off-field action, Virat Kohli was unstoppable yet again in the video available on his newly released app.

The fan had said Kohli was "overrated" and less enjoyable to watch than his English and Australian counterparts, prompting a frosty response. Footage of Kohli recording for his official app has emerged on social media in which he asks the fan who doesn't like Indian batsmen to go "live somewhere else".

"Virat needs to understand that if the fans go away to other countries, then no Puma etc. will want to sign him for Rs100 crores".

Mumbai: With celebrations of Diwali in full flow, Indian cricket team players wasted no time in celebrating the festival of lights with their families.

The video went viral and has prompted a torrent of criticism against Kohli on social media.

Inspector General of police (IGP) traffic Basant Rath has slammed Indian skipper Virat Kohli for his "leave India" response to a cricket fan who had tweeted that he enjoys watching English and Australian batsmen more than Indian cricketers. "I loved watching Sachin, Viru (Virender Sehwag), Sourav (Ganguly), VVS (Laxman), Rahul (Dravid) bat but also loved Mark Waugh, Brian Lara and so many others", BCCI treasurer Anirudh Chaudhary was quoted saying by the Times of India. "Get your priorities right", Kohli said. In fact, many have found Kohli's statement hypocritical considering he once called South Africa batsman Herschelle Gibbs his favourite cricketer. Before the ODI series against the West Indies, he was very impressive on the England tour where he scored more than 500 runs even as his teammates struggled.

Team India also suggested that BCCI should compensate the players who would miss the T20 extravagant for the World Cup.
