In the February 1987 issue of Tennis Magazine, senior editor Donna Doherty traveled to Washington, D.C.to speak with then-Vice President George H.W. Bush about tennis, one of his favorite sports.

The nation's 41st president died on November 30 at the age of 94 at his home in Houston. He will be buried next to his wife Barbara and their daughter Robin who died in 1953. C at Ellington Field on December 3, 2018 in Houston, Texas. The casket will be loaded onto a plane during a departure ceremony scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m. CST and flown to Joint Base Andrews in Maryland.

Former President George W. Bush, his son, will deliver a eulogy at the funeral Wednesday, as will former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, former Senator Alan Simpson and presidential historian Jon Meacham.

Mayor Sylvester Turner is hosting Monday evening's event featuring music and community leaders in front of City Hall.

On Sunday, Bush's spokesman Jim McGrath tweeted that the flights will be dubbed 'Special Air Mission 41'.

As the nation mourned the death of former president George H.W. Bush over the weekend, his beloved service dog was by his side to the end.

President Bush's body will lie in repose at St. Martin's Episcopal Church, Houston, Texas.

The Capitol will be open for dignitaries and the public to pay their respects through early Wednesday, with visitors allowed to walk past Bush's casket. After the hour-long service, a motorcade will transport Bush's casket to a train station north of Houston, near the worldwide airport named after Bush. Mulroney was prime minister from 1984 to 1993; Bush was president from 1989 to 1993.

"The 41st president died late Friday at his Houston home at age 94". The casket will be in a auto with Plexiglas windows to allow people to see it during the trip, according to family spokesman Jim McGrath.
