Like with its current high-end Pixel 3 lineup, Google will reportedly offer the Pixel 3 Lite in two sizes, with the smaller of the two smartphones expected to feature a 5.5-inch display and the larger expected to feature a 6-inch display. After the Nexus 5X which was launched back in 2015, this is the first time that Google has chose to bring phones for the masses. Unless, of course, it's a significantly worse phone, in which case the Lite phone will get eaten up by cheaper, high-performance devices in the mid-range. These mid-range phones will be toned down versions of the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL. Later, renders of the 3 Lite and a larger XL variant were released by OnLeaks. But now some details regarding the launch of these phones are coming out.

It is not for sure why Google wants to launch the "Lite" version of Pixel 3 in the U.S. only. Fresh information shared by Android Police reveals that the search engine giant may unleash the Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 XL Lite smartphone in early spring. Both "Lite" Pixel 3 models will have 4GB of RAM and 32GB of on-board storage as well as having 12MP rear cameras and an 8MP front-facing camera.

The Pixel 3 Lite will come out of the box with the latest Android 9 Pie operating system without any doubt and will be powered with a 2915mAh battery. Few reports suggest that both these handsets are expected to be showcased in the second quarter of 2019 and they will be available via Verizon. In fact, rumours also reveal that the phone will go at par with the Pixel 3 as far as the overall design of the phone is concerned.
