"Once the four of us met and started playing shows, we toured for years before signing a record deal", reflects Rucker who, in the 10-plus year break since their last formal tour and almost 15 years since their last studio album as a band, has charted nine No. 1 singles on country radio.

Hootie and Blowfish will be releasing a studio album and heading on 44-date North American tour after a decade-long hiatus.

The Barenaked Ladies will open the show.

The band hails from Columbia, South Carolina.

Hootie & the Blowfish will be coming to the Hersheypark Stadium on Friday, August 30, 2019 at 7:30 PM.

Tickets for both performances will be sold through www.etix.com, by calling 800-514-3849 or at the State Fairgrounds Ticket Office during limited hours 10 a.m.to 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7.

Citi cardmembers and Hootie & the Blowfish fan club members will have access to purchase presale tickets beginning at 10 a.m. today. "I've seen you tour 5 times". Tickets will go on sale at the venue's website and Ticketmaster 10 a.m. December 7.

They will also feature fellow 90s stars Barenaked Ladies as special guests when the tour kicks off on May 30 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. "We've never stopped being a band". The group also plans to release a studio album for the first time in almost 15 years.

The band scored most of its more recognizable hits off 1994's "Cracked Rear View" album.
