Tua Tagovailoa will have to wait until Saturday to find out if he's the victor of college football's top prize.

He is up against Ohio State's Dwayne Haskins and Alabama's Tua Tagovailoa for the Heisman Trophy which will be presented Saturday night. The Oklahoma quarterback topped Tagovailoa for the Davey O'Brien Award given to the nation's top quarterback.

After taking part in a little more than 30 minutes worth of interviews, Murray moved down to the floor of the stock exchange, eventually making his way with Tagovailoa and Haskins to the balcony where they rang the closing bell.

Murray, a 5-foot-10, 195-pound junior from Allen, Texas, won the award in his final year as a college athlete.

While Tagovailoa was voted the best player, he didn't win best quarterback.

"I think he's been one of the best players in college football all year long", Alabama head coach Nick Saban said last week.

Or will the Heisman go to Murray? The past four Maxwell winners and past five Walter Camp winners have all gone on to win the Heisman. As a result, Murray is the fifth Sooner to take home the award, joining Sam Bradford (2008), White (2003, '04) and running back Billy Sims (1978). Only twice since 2002 has the AP Player of the Year not won the Heisman, Nebraska's Ndamukong Suh in 2009 and Stanford's Christian McCaffrey in 2015. The Oakland Athletics took Murray with the ninth pick in the Major League Baseball draft in June. Tagovailoa also broke Alabama's single-game touchdown records with six (five passing, one rushing) during Alabama's 52-21 victory over Auburn.

Murray leads the country in total offense (4,945 yards), points responsible for (306) and passing efficiency (205.7).

Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray is adding to his trophy case.

Murray has thrown at least two touchdown passes in 12 of 13 games this season, and has thrown at least three TD passes in 10 contests.
