Patrick McCaw set to move on from Warriors and sign offer sheet with Cavaliers, per report

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski was first to deliver the news that McCaw's offer sheet with the Cavs would be worth $6 million over two seasons. Signing McCaw would also fill the 15th spot on the Warriors roster with DeMarcus Cousins nearing a return.

Entering a rebuilding situation in Cleveland, McCaw should have ample opportunity for playing time, provided the Warriors decline to match the offer, since McCaw is a restricted free agent.

The Cavaliers or Warriors could waive McCaw before January 7 and not be responsible for paying the remainder of his contract.

McCaw never reported to training camp during the offseason, apparently holding out in the hopes that another team would offer him more than the Warriors' $1.7 million qualifying offer.

According to a report, the Warriors are waiting for the electronic arrival of the signed offer sheet before they decide whether or not they will match Cleveland's offer.

McCaw averaged 4.0 points and 1.4 assists last season while shooting 40.9 percent from the field and just 23.8 percent from 3-point range. No word from the Warriors yet, but we should expect something from Golden State.
