Samsung to showcase AI-based innovations in CES 2019

"PRISMIT" uses AI to analyse issue-based content to provide readers with the top five most representative articles about a user-searched topic using "issue clustering technology".

Samsung may be introducing a brand new innovation that is pretty nifty, might I add, over at CES 2019. The case kind of looks silly, however, it promises a better quality of spatial audio along with much more of the realistic sounds due to the rendering magic by Artificial Intelligence. The technology has the potential to be used over a wide surface of the panel, allowing for 3-dimensional sound effects and greater directionality, and of course, makes waterproofing somewhat easier.

Other experiments are Tisplay, described as an "in-video virtual ad service", which is suitable for video creators who can use the tool to put ads on T-shirts and other clothes. At the same time, you can also create the perfume yourself with those recipes and adjust the ratio of the different ingredients to create your very own unique fragrance. Users are able to purchase additional scents.

SnailSound, on the other hand, is a hearing assistant solution for people who can not hear sounds very well. The app will analyze a user-preferred sound, then calibrate that sound to be heard more clearly. As part of this announcement, Samsung says these C-Lab projects that will be revealed represent the biggest number of projects the lab has ever unveiled in a single show since making its CES debut in 2016.

Another interesting invention is SnailSound, a device for people with hearing impairments. Using a smart nonlinear amplification and AI-based adaptive noise suppression algorithms, the earpiece can provide wearers with increased sound and suppressed background noise to help the hearing-impaired hear more of what they need to and less of what they don't.

"We will present promising C-Lab projects leveraging AI technologies in the field of video content creation, perfume making and more".

The Girin Monitor Stand is created to help improve users' posture while they work on their computers. The show runs from January 8 to January 11.
