Alvaro Morata's Agent Meets With Sevilla as Striker Eyes Loan Move for Remainder of Season

Reports in Spain have suggested that Sevilla's director of football, Joaquin Caparros, has met with Morata's agent Juanma Lopez to discuss a potential deal.

Wolves would hope to win the day by offering a Portuguese contingent to help him settle in England - which can be very tough for mid-season arrivals - and a greater degree of gametime than he might expect in competition with World Cup victor Olivier Giroud at Stamford Bridge.

The striker believes the Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan is the ideal place for him to rebuild his career after his struggles at Chelsea and the LaLiga Santander club know this. Benzema scored 12 goals in 47 appearances for Real Madrid last term.

As reported by the club's official website, the Spaniard has not been risked by Blues boss Maurizio Sarri as the team bid to win the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final at Wembley.

The latter's form, however, has dropped off in recent weeks after a fast start following his loan arrival from AC Milan, and with Luis Muriel having left for Fiorentina already in the winter window, Morata could yet earn a starting berth should he move to the Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium.

Quite where Morata would fit into the pecking order at Sevilla is unknown, with Wissam Ben Yedder and Andre Silva having netted 24 goals between them in all competitions this season.

Chelsea are believed to be happy for the striker to depart, but only when they have signed a suitable replacement for the £150,000-a-week man.
