John Elway says Case Keenum is Broncos QB'right now

After reporting this morning the Dolphins would interview Bears defensive coordinator Vic Fangio for its head coaching job, it turns out the two sides will not meet.

"Munchak is great at the offensive line coach, I think which is why he's right there", Kils continued.

The Denver Broncos are blocking rival teams from interviewing Gary Kubiak for offensive coordinator openings. It ended abruptly for Fangio on Sunday as the team with the No. 1 ranked defense went one-and-done in the playoffs for the first time since the 2011 Pittsburgh Steelers. Players said Fangio did not talk about his future or opportunities but led a normal exit meeting.

Vic Fangio, the Bears' defensive coordinator, has been a defensive assistant in the National Football League for over three decades. Chuck Pagano is a former head coach who came up on the defensive side of the ball. I don't know the guy at all...

Kubiak would like to stay in Denver anyway, sources said.

It's assumed either candidate would be working with Gary Kubiak as an offensive coordinator or in some prominent offensive role.

"But he doesn't have the typical head coach personality", Klis said.

The Broncos have also blocked Kubiak from interviewing for coaching positions as Elway formulates what role Kubiak might play in the organization. He's worked for the Panthers, Colts, Ravens, Texans, 49ers and most recently the Chicago Bears from 2015-present.

Fangio's defenses are known for being fast and aggressive, and he would enhance the Broncos' strongest position on the roster.

Stay tuned in case Fangio is, indeed, announced as the head coach soon.
