Fiji water girl steals show at Golden Globes

Kelleth Cuthbert, a Los Angeles. -based model, set the internet on fire after she photobombed some of Hollywood's biggest stars while carrying Fiji Water at the event Sunday night.

Kelleth Cuthbert is having a pretty good week. The Good Place's Jameela Jamil was jokingly misidentified as a character from her show on the ceremony's red carpet.

Mr Davis did agree that attention spans may be short, but thinks in the age of social media, Fiji Water Girl could stick around for a while.

Kelleth, who usually works as a commercial actress and fashion model, was pictured behind some of the Golden Globes' most famous guests, including Jim Carrey, Richard Madden, Idris Elba and Taraj P Henson.

As the Golden Globes red carpet coverage unfolded yesterday afternoon, one particular face kept popping up in what seemed like every shot.

Apex Marketing Group president Eric Smallwood told Yahoo that Fiji Water saved nearly $18 million in advertising from yesterday's exposure. And she says it might encourage her not to neglect her own dressing up in the future.

Somebody even went so far as to start a Fiji Water Girl Twitter account, posting memes in which Cuthbert turns up in unlikely places, including on the surface of the moon. "I feel like I've always been a person that people feel comfortable sharing their stories with, and being on set can be kind of an intimate experience", Cuthbert said. Model Kelleth Cuthbert seemed determined to make her mark on the night where cameras were in abundance, becoming an overnight viral sensation.

Cuthbert has yet to comment on her newfound fame, but we can only imagine that several professional opportunities are coming her way.

Jamie Lee Curtis was not a fan of the Fiji Water Girl at Monday's Golden Globe Awards.

"I do love a good meme, so I think it's incredibly ironic and amusing that I'm one now", she is quoted as saying.
