And a Chiefs fan apparently decided to make a snowball during Saturday's AFC divisional playoff game. and throw it at Colts punter Rigoberto Sanchez when he was on the field. More than seven inches of snow was dumped on Kansas City before 7am local time and adverse conditions can be expected even though the flakes have slowed and the field is mostly dry. Colts wideout Zach Pascal recovered the block punt and tumbled into the end zone, cutting the Chiefs' lead to 17-7.

It also marked the shortest missed field goal in the playoffs since the Chiefs and Colts played in a 2006 wild-card game.

If this season - his 23rd - is his last, it's not the type of ending Indianapolis Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri wanted for the team and for him individually. For as good as Luck's stats were - second in the National Football League in touchdowns (39) and a career high in completion percentage (67.3), completions (430) and attempts (639) - his rejuvenated belief in having fun again and not letting the game consume him stood out.

The ball was snapped a little high to Chiefs punter Dustin Colquitt but as he one though the motions one Colts special team player had broken through the line to block the punt. "It's a momentum swing and needing those points going into half and (I) didn't come through for us".

Colts: Center Ryan Kelly (knee) left late in the fourth quarter.

Chiefs: Await the Chargers-Patriots victor in the AFC title game.
