Solskjaer backs Rashford to reach Kane's level

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is convinced Marcus Rashford has the talent to become a striker of Harry Kane's class.

Rashford and Kane will go head-to-head at Wembley on Sunday when Manchester United take on Tottenham.

Manchester United's defence may have been leaky this season, but it could have been even worse without David de Gea, whose reputation as one of the world's best remains intact as he beats World Cup-winning captain Hugo Lloris into the team.

Solskjaer, along with Mike Phelan, has allowed players to breathe on the pitch again, with Man United producing five wins out of five under the Norwegian's leadership.

He's got frightening pace.

"Of course we're going to be in a different club, because it's not the same to play in Wembley for the last two years almost".

Rashford, 21, scored four goals in his first two senior matches for United after being been given his debut by then-manager Louis van Gaal in February 2016, and established himself as a regular squad member at Old Trafford.

"He's been brought up here and there were a couple of sessions (in Dubai) with the young kids, (Tahith) Chong, Angel (Gomes) and Jesse (Lingard), where they play together in a certain way".

Since returning to United, where he played as a striker between 1996 and 2007, Solskjaer has spoken repeatedly of the need to return to the attractive, attacking football that they played for much of Alex Ferguson's reign. "He's a very exciting player to work with".

Levy, though, believes that Spurs can not risk losing Pochettino and will rebuff any advances from Old Trafford, according to The Sun.

He is quoted by the Manchester Evening News as saying: "I have good memories of him also because I remember when he scored after 90 minutes, I was there at the Camp Nou with my goalkeeper coach in 1999, and I remember him scoring the second goal in injury time".

"He's probably a very good man manager, but you've got to ask someone else".

Speaking in an interview with MUTV, Jones said: "It is about momentum and we need to keep building that momentum, whoever we play". I think the boys enjoyed it, we put a few principles down and I know they worked hard and I think they enjoy working hard as well.
