Neutral college football observers have joined Alabama fans in blaming Drake for the Tide's 44-16 loss to Clemson on Monday night in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game. Freshman quarterback Trevor Lawrence (upper right) threw for 347 yards and three touchdowns passes to Travis Etienne, Tee Higgins and Justyn Ross (left, making one of two one-handed catches on the night) to help undefeated Clemson win its third national title.

The rest of the college football world, though, had plenty of fun at Drake's expense.

Clemson made history Monday night by becoming the first 15-0 team in modern college football history.

And in all five years of the CFP format, both schools in the title game have been Nike-sponsored. "I'm just thankful to be a part of it". "You're one of a kind Trevor", she shared. "So the only thing we hadn't done again was win it all".

The Alabama based sporting goods retailer must've been really confident in the team's ability to win, because they had already begun airing radio commercials in which they proclaimed Alabama as the 2019 National Champions. It's incredible the run that they've had, but we're just thankful that we got the opportunity to experience it.
