Rajasthan Baby's Body Split Into Two During Botched up Delivery Mother Finds Out About it in Another Hospital

The mother is said to be battling for her life after the incident. The compounder allegedly pulled out the baby during delivery using force, leaving the baby's head in the womb.

After the incident, they asked family members to take the woman to Jaisalmer claiming that the opening of the womb had closed and it was hard to take the umbilical cord out.

He said he realised something was horribly wrong while attempting to take out the placenta.

A nurse at an Indian hospital has pulled the head off a baby during birth, according to reports. Tilok alleged that the nurses at the Ramgarh centre were drunk.

The male nurse and his colleague took the baby's torso to the hospital mortuary and told the family to take the mother to another hospital.

The man in charge of the heath centre in Ramgargh, Dr Nikhil Sharma, said he wasn't present at the time of the incident.

What is more shocking is that the woman named Diksha Kumar visited a different hospital only to find out about the fiasco as the staff at the previous hospital didn't inform her about the debacle.

They later lied to the gynaecologist at Jodhpur Umaid Hospital that they had finished the delivery.

The baby's father told India's English news channel Times Now on Thursday that hospital staff members failed to tell him about their mistake and even tried to hide the baby's body from him.

Sub-inspector Jalam Singh said the police recovered a part of the baby's body from the government hospital after conducting searches.

The family reached Ramgarh police station on Wednesday and lodged a case against the two nurses. "We have registered a case against two staffers of Ramgarh hospital and have interrogated them", he was quoted as saying.

No arrest has been made so far, the officer added.
