It has been directed by Aditya Dhar and stars Vicky Kaushal, Yami Gautam, Paresh Rawal and Mohit Raina.

Vicky Kaushal's performance in the film in particular has been praised. The film hit the theatres yesterday as it was scheduled to be released on 11th January 2019, Friday.

To extend her support to Vicky on the release of his latest film Uri: The Surgical Srikes, Priya attended the special screening of the film last night in Mumbai and has now shared an adorable video on her official Instagram account's story.

The Surgical Strike raked in a whopping Rs 12.43 Crore at the box office on Saturday (Day 2). There was a time when such films couldn't be even thought of but now that these are finding mainstream release across A, B as well as C centres, it is time to really look forward in Bollywood. The officer trailer of the film received an overwhelming response from the film and now when the film has been released it is generating good business.

Vicky Kaushal starrer Uri: The Surgical Strike is receiving a lot of love from the audience, and it seems, the film has blown away the actor's contemporaries too.

URI is based on the surgical strikes carried out by the Indian Army in September 2016 after a horrific terrorist attack at an Indian Army Camp.

The film has now collected Rs. 19.70 crore* and what has to be seen is that how much closer to the Rs. 35 crore do the collections arrive once the weekend is through. Anupam Kher's political drama movie is giving a good competition to the film.
